It's ALL about THE DRESS!!

It's all about the dress!

The Bust

Your bust is an important part of the gown.  Since its close to your face it should be a factor when deciding on the neckline of your gown.  Its important too that your bust be relatively equal to your hips in proportion.  Here are some quick tips for Small and Large bust lines.

Small Busts:

-Sweetheart necklines can add some curves to your bust.

-Try on a gown that has ruching or embellishments across the bust to help accent a smaller bust line.

-Vertical pleating or ruching can help add fullness to a small bust.

-Padded bra cups (our #1 pick) can help add to your bust line creating fullness and roundness, oh and give a little lift.

-With a small bust you can wear a plunging or V-neckline.

-Try wearing a Halter neckline to accentuate cleavage.

-A more fashion-forward option is the bikini top.  This is a neckline that has a knot in the middle with the option of a small spaghetti strap.

-An Empire waist can also help accentuate a smaller bust.

Larger Busts:

-A slight dip in a bust line of the gown can soften a larger bust line. (if you gown does not have this dip, you have it adjusted in alterations)

-An A-line is great for balancing out a larger bust and a hip line.

-Sometimes more coverage is needed, a tip-of-the-shoulder neckline can do that.

-A big NO-NO can be a straight across neckline.  This can make your bust look bigger and make your shoulders appear broader.

-Try and Avoid Halter necklines.

-Deep sweethearts may not be a good choice, they can make your bust look too round and show too much cleavage.

-Be careful with sheath gowns, they can give the illusion of you being top heavy.

It's All About THE DRESS!

Arms!
Most women have some insecurities or image issues with their arms.  Some are not comfortable  enough to go sleeveless or strapless, here are some pointers to help accentuate any arm type!

Thin Arms:
-If you want to make your arms appear larger, try covering them with a sleeve!
-If a sleeve can't be added to your gown, try a bolero, jacket, or shrug!
-Try on an elgant pair of long gloves!
-Wear a coordinating wrap or stole!
-Avoid chunky bracelets, which will make your arms look skinnier!

Average Arms:
-You're in luck and can wear most anything to look great!

Full Arms:
-If you cover your arms, try a sleeve made of a light or sheer fabric that doesn't add bulk!
-Wear a sheer lace sleeve!
-Go Strapless! Bare arms can blend in with a bare neckline and call less attention to their size!
-Consider wearing a cap sleeve!
-Wear a tip-of-the-shoulder (where the gown meets the top of the arm)gown.  Even though it will give a very small amount of covering, it may look flattering!
-Avoid wearing sleeves that are too tight!  Your arms will look like they've been stuffed into them, yuck!
-Don't wear sleeves in a heavy fabric, this will only add bulk!
-No Halters! This will draw attention to your arms!

It's all about THE DRESS!

"What works best on my body?"  That is the number one question that we hear from brides when they come to try on gowns.  Most women want the shape of their body to be curvy, feminine and have the hourglass figure.  For the month of January we are going to help you with a few tips on finding the right dress starting from shoulders on down!

SHOULDERS!

* You want your shoulders to be in balance with your hips.  They should be approximately the same width to create a beautiful silhouette.*

 For Narrow Shoulders
-Try an off the shoulder gown. This will help round out your narrow shoulder line.
-Try a tip-of-the-shoulder gown, this gown is where the top of the shoulder meets the top of the arm.
-Avoid halter dresses!  They will make your shoulders look even smaller.

For Average Shoulders
-Good News! You can wear most necklines.

For Broad Shoulders
-Try an A-line or a full skirt this will help balance out your top.
-Try a sweetheart neckline.  This will help soften the shoulder line, making your shoulders seem softer.
-Avoid halter dress! They will accentuate your broad shoulders.
-Avoid straight dress!  They will make you look like the letter "T".

DJ or Party Band.. How to decide?

Here are 3 reason perfect reasons for each to help you choose the best music for your party!

3 Reasons to book a band:

3 Reasons to book a DJ:

1.  Musical Familiarity! Guests love hearing the original artist performing their songs.  "Don't Stop Believing"!
